1. The key facts, up front

Turas sells three kinds of access, all through Apple’s in-app purchase system. One route at each centre is free without buying anything.

ProductProduct identifierTypePrice (Ireland)What it covers
Centre Pass, 30 daysier_centre_pass_30Non-renewing€9.99Every route at one centre, for 30 days
Centre Pass, 60 daysier_centre_pass_60Non-renewing€12.99Every route at one centre, for 60 days
Centre Pass, 90 daysier_centre_pass_90Non-renewing€14.99Every route at one centre, for 90 days
All Centres, weeklyier_all_1wAuto-renewing subscription€4.99 per weekEvery route at every centre, while subscribed
All Centres, monthlyier_all_1mAuto-renewing subscription€12.99 per monthEvery route at every centre, while subscribed
All Centres, monthly with free trialier_all_1m_trialAuto-renewing subscription3-day free trial, then €12.99 per monthEvery route at every centre, while subscribed
Lifetime, All Centresier_lifetime_allNon-consumable (one payment)€29.99Every route at every centre, with no expiry

Which of these the app offers you at a given moment can vary; the app always shows the price before you buy, and Apple’s confirmation sheet shows the exact amount.

The essential terms in one place:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • A Centre Pass does not renew. It is for one centre, it ends on its own after 30, 60 or 90 days, and you are never charged again unless you buy another.
  • Lifetime access is a single payment, with nothing to renew.
  • The All Centres subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then in effect.
  • You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings (section 8).
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Deleting the app, or deleting your Turas account, does not cancel a subscription.
  • Apple handles all billing and all refunds. The developer cannot refund an App Store charge.

What every product unlocks is the same thing: the full routes (map, turn-by-turn steps, voice guidance, manoeuvre spots and hotspots) at the centres it covers. The routes are practice aids, not official RSA routes, and no purchase guarantees that a route matches your test (see the Terms of Service, section 2).

2. Prices and currency

The prices above are the Irish storefront prices in euro, including VAT as Apple displays it. Apple localises pricing: the amount you pay depends on your App Store storefront, currency and applicable tax, and Apple always shows you the exact amount, currency and period on the confirmation sheet before you complete the purchase. That figure is the price of your contract.

Apple is the merchant of record and is responsible for tax. Apple’s confirmation sheet and receipt are authoritative.

3. How a purchase works

  1. You choose a product in the app. For a Centre Pass, the pass is for the centre you are buying it from, which the app shows you.
  2. Apple shows a confirmation sheet with the product, the period, the exact price and any trial.
  3. You confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple Account password. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  4. The app sends Apple’s signed transaction to our server, which confirms it with Apple and unlocks the routes.

Apple takes the payment, holds your payment method, issues your receipt, manages renewals and handles refunds. The developer never sees your card number, bank details or billing address.

4. Centre Passes (non-renewing)

  • A Centre Pass covers every route at one test centre, for 30, 60 or 90 days from the moment of purchase.
  • It is bound to the centre chosen at purchase and cannot be moved to another centre.
  • It does not renew automatically. When the period ends, that centre’s routes lock again (apart from its free route). If you want more time, you can buy another pass.
  • Because it does not renew, there is nothing to cancel.
  • If your test is moved, we cannot extend a pass; buy the length that suits your booking, or consider the All Centres subscription.

5. The All Centres subscription (auto-renewing)

Subscription group: “All Centres”. It unlocks every route at every centre while it is active.

  • It renews automatically for another period of the same length (one week or one month) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price then in effect for your plan.
  • Renewal continues until you turn off auto-renew or Apple cancels the subscription (for example if payment fails).
  • Turning off auto-renew does not end your current period. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • You can switch between the weekly and monthly plans in your Apple subscription settings; Apple handles the timing and any proration.

5.1 The 3-day free trial

Where offered, the monthly plan ier_all_1m_trial starts with a 3-day free trial.

  • The trial is available once, to a customer new to the “All Centres” subscription group. Apple decides eligibility, and the confirmation sheet tells you before you confirm.
  • During the trial you get the full All Centres access.
  • Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid monthly subscription at €12.99 per month (or the local price Apple showed you), charged within 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

6. Lifetime access

Lifetime, All Centres (ier_lifetime_all) is a single payment that unlocks every route at every centre for as long as the app is offered, with no renewal and nothing to cancel. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the app, not your lifetime; if we ever discontinue the app, section 10 of the Terms of Service applies.

7. Restoring purchases, and new phones

Your purchases belong to your Apple Account.

  • Use Settings → Restore Purchases in the app after reinstalling or on a new iPhone, signed in to the same Apple Account. You will not be charged again.
  • Signing in with Apple in the app (Settings → Account) keeps your Centre Passes, subscription, Lifetime access and any real-test reward attached to your Turas account, so they follow you to a new phone most reliably.
  • Family Sharing applies only where Apple’s rules and the product’s settings allow it.

8. How to cancel the subscription: the exact path

You cancel with Apple, not with us. The developer cannot cancel for you.

On your iPhone:

Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Turas → Cancel Subscription

Or in the app: Settings → Manage Subscription, which opens the same Apple screen.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the current period, then the app returns to the free route per centre plus any Centre Pass or Lifetime access you hold.

Deleting the app or your Turas account does NOT cancel the subscription and does NOT stop future charges.

9. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple. Apple is the merchant of record; the developer cannot refund an App Store charge.

Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the Turas charge and choose Request a refund.

Apple decides according to its own policies and applicable law. Where mandatory consumer law entitles you to a refund and Apple has not provided it, email maximusik2@gmail.com and we will resolve it, including paying it ourselves where the law puts that obligation on us.

10. Consumers in Ireland, the EU and the UK: the 14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in Ireland or elsewhere in the EU/EEA, or in the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, under Directive 2011/83/EU as implemented in your country (in Ireland, the Consumer Rights Act 2022) and, in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

How it works for digital content. For digital content supplied immediately, that right is lost once supply has begun, provided you gave your express prior consent to supply starting within the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.

What that means here. Routes unlock immediately when you confirm a purchase; that is the point of buying. By confirming the purchase and opening the unlocked routes (downloading them to your phone), you ask for immediate supply and acknowledge that your 14-day withdrawal right ends once supply begins. If you have not yet used what you bought, the right is intact.

Who to exercise it against. Apple is the merchant of record, so a withdrawal request is made to Apple through https://reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple applies a 14-day withdrawal policy where the law requires one. If Apple declines a withdrawal you believe was valid, email maximusik2@gmail.com with the Apple order ID and we will look at it and support your claim.

Nothing here takes away that statutory right or your other mandatory consumer rights, including the right to digital content that conforms to the contract under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and Directive (EU) 2019/770. See section 13 of the Terms of Service.

11. Price changes

  • A price change never affects a period or a pass you have already paid for.
  • For the subscription, Apple notifies you before a price increase takes effect at renewal, and where your consent is required and you do not give it, the subscription does not renew.
  • If you do not want to continue at a new price, turn off auto-renew before the end of the current period (section 8).

12. What you are not buying

  • Not official material. Turas is not affiliated with the RSA, and no route is guaranteed to match your test.
  • Not lessons. A purchase does not replace an approved driving instructor or the Rules of the Road.
  • Not CarPlay, necessarily. The CarPlay screen depends on Apple’s approval and may say “coming soon” in some versions; no purchase is sold on the strength of it.
  • Not a promise of future centres. A purchase covers the centres and routes in the app; we add and update routes over time but do not promise any particular centre or date.

13. Requirements

Turas requires iOS 17 or later on an iPhone. Routes download once opened and then drive without signal; the map itself depends on Apple Maps and may need a connection to show roads you have not viewed before. Location permission is needed for guidance.

14. Privacy of your purchase data

We store which product you bought, Apple’s transaction identifier, the dates it covers and, for a Centre Pass, the centre. We do not receive your name, email address, card number or billing address. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

These Subscription Terms form part of the Terms of Service, including its limitation of liability, consumer-rights section and governing law.
